  • Skim the surface of the pool to remove leaves and debris

  • Brush the walls, ledges, and floor of the pool to remove dirt and algae

  • Remove any debris from the bottom of the pool

  • Vacuum pool to get rid of debris as needed

  • Empty pool vacuums

  • Clean the pool's skimmer basket to remove any debris.

  • Backwash diatomaceous earth (DE) filter cartridge and Sand Filters as needed

  • Test the water for pH levels, alkalinity, calcium, chlorine, and cyanuric acid

  • Add chemicals as needed to target

    • pH between 7.2 and 7.8

    • Alkalinity to 80 to 120 ppm

    • Calcium hardness to 200 to 400 ppm

    • Chlorine levels between 1 to 3 ppm

  • Shock the pool with chlorine to kill bacteria and algae, if needed

  • Inspect the pump equipment for proper operations and leaks

  • Add algaecide and enzyme as needed to prevent the growth of algae

  • Clean the pool's tile for waterline and sunscreen scum

  • Check the pool's water temperature

About the Owner

Hi, I’m Kyle—a native Oregonian who’s lived in the Central Texas area off and on for over twenty years.

In all the work I’ve done around the world, serving people has been the common thread of all of it. I’ve been servicing pools for several years now and love helping families and homeowners keep their pools in working order.

Our three kids keep my wife and I busy, but when I have free time, I enjoy hiking, camping, traveling, reading, and anything that keeps me in the great outdoors. I miss the mountains and cool weather of the Pacific Northwest, but at least I can eat all the tacos and barbeque I can stand.
